There are two common problems encountered with roof overhangs.
Roof length problem.
The home has a pitched roof thus the rafter is actually longer than half the width of the home.
The roof overhang is too wide the roof overhang does not extend far enough in the first case the overhang is simply too big for the home.
This is the basic problem involved in determining the length of a roof rafter a brace or any other member that forms the hypotenuse of an actual or imaginary right triangle.
The length of the rafter depends on the pitch or angle of the roof and the amount of overhang at the eaves.
Changes to the structure s original form that puts tension on or moves the panels.
The excess weight of leaves twigs and standing water can cause them to sag and pull away from the fascia.
